ARCHBISHOP JAVIER MARTINEZ is a leading European Catholic intellectual and pastor from Granada, Spain.

He is particularly interested in creating a greater awareness of what is meant by a ‘Christian culture’. His writings and episcopal ministry investigate the relationship between faith and contemporary culture.

He created the publishing house Nuevo Inicio, which publishes works of Christian thought, and the Cultural Center Nuevo Inicio.
