Senior Common Room (SCR)
All honours and graduate students are invited to be members of the Senior Common Room of Newman College. The College has around sixty students who are in residence who are engaged in graduate studies.
Some of these students are involved in providing tutorials in the College's tutorial programme.
Most of the members of the SCR act as a mentor to a first-year undergraduate.
All members of the SCR receive a scholarship and may remain in residence for the full calendar year.
The SCR has an executive made up of the President, the Vice President, the Secretary and the Treasurer.
There are a number of committees within the SCR (Sustainability, Academic, Community Service, Social, Music, Publications, Art and Literature). Many of these committees operate jointly with NCSC committees.
All members of the SCR receive a scholarship
Please note that scholarships and bursaries do not apply to study abroad and exchange students.
